Ben Toner will be the man in the middle for Town’s Sky Bet League One clash away at MK Dons on Friday night (7.45pm Kick-Off).
The referee, who has been officiating in the EFL since the 2015/16 campaign, will take charge of a Town game for only the second time in his career having previously officiated the Reds’ 2-2 draw away at Doncaster in September 2015.
Toner has taken charge of 21 games this season across League One, League Two, the FA Cup and the Checkatrade Trophy, dishing out 70 yellow cards and 3 red cards.
His last game came earlier this month when he took charge of Walsall’s 1-1 draw with Bradford City.
