Raphael Rossi-Branco feels he and his team-mates owe the Town faithful a good and committed performance against Bury on Saturday (3pm Kick-Off).
The Reds were on the wrong end of a 2-0 defeat to Oxford United on Derby Day last weekend following a bad day at the office all round.
Town did bounce back by defeating a talented Chelsea Development Side 2-1 in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday evening, but Branco now wants to pay the fans back by helping to deliver all three points and a show-stopping performance tomorrow afternoon.
“We need the three points tomorrow but the first thing is the performance,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk.
“We need to give more than we gave last Saturday. The players who played last weekend did give everything but it wasn’t our day.
“We’ve got to do everything to give something to the fans tomorrow because everyone was obviously very disappointed about our last game.
“It was a local derby and when that happens I know the fans are going to start to ask if we are good enough.
“We need to give everything, I would say 200%, and hopefully we can get the win, express ourselves really well and put in a really good performance.
“If the performance is good then the results will come.
“I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s game.
“Bury are a good League One side and they’ve got experienced players. We know that it is going to be very, very hard, but we’re playing at home, playing in-front of our fans and we have everything to win the game.
“We have to give our fans the best performance we can.
“Bury will try to press us but we are going to be ready to get the three points.”
Branco brought the curtain down on a frustrating and injury-ravaged four months on Tuesday, marking his first start of the season with a goal against Chelsea's U23s.
“I’m feeling really good. My fitness has improved a lot and it was very important that I didn’t come back straight away,” he continued.
“I felt really good on Tuesday and now I’m ready for the next game – I’m looking forward to it.
“The worse part of being injured is when you come to games and can’t help your team, but that is a part of life.
“I just want to look forward now to what’s coming.
“Tuesday was a very good game, especially for me. It was my first game back after four months and I felt I could express myself really well.
“The goal was very good for me. To be injured for a long time and to get a goal like that was the best thing that could have happened to me.
“If I’m involved tomorrow I’m going to do everything to score again.”
