Dion Conroy feels Town need to move on quickly from the disappointment of the 2-1 defeat to Bradford City on Saturday.

Nicky Ajose struck late on in the second-half at Valley Parade to put the Reds on course for a vital three points, but two goals from Charlie Wyke in the dying minutes ensured it was The Bantams who came out on top.

And, with every game now vital as Town look to move away from the relegation zone, Conroy knows it is vital that he and his team-mates quickly put Saturday to bed and move on to Millwall this coming weekend.

“Everyone is a bit gutted because we were 1-0 up with fifteen minutes to go and we could have dealt with their goals a bit better, but we’ve just got to move on to the next game and get the wins we need to stay up,” he said.

“It was difficult the whole game. They had all their fans behind them, they were very direct and they had a very good front-line, but we dealt with it well and it was just unfortunate we conceded two goals late on.

“We need to pick ourselves up and go on to the next game.

“They were putting crosses into the box for the whole game and the ball has fallen to one of their players for the second goal and they’ve managed to tap it in.

“We didn’t have any luck on our side but we will move on to the next game and hopefully get the three points.

“We’ve got to pick ourselves up and get back on the training ground.

“Football is brutal when you lose at any level but we’ve got to move on.

“Anything is possible in football so we’ve got to keep working hard in training and in every game and I’m sure if the boys put in 100% then we’ll get the points we need to stay up.

“The second-half was a bit better from our point of view, we had a few chances and we could have killed the game off but we learn from what we didn’t do too well and we’ll take that into the next game.”
