Raphael Rossi-Branco isn’t expecting an easy ride against Eastleigh on Friday but is eager to finally enjoy some success in the FA Cup.
Town get underway in the famous competition in two days’ time and, having not got past the First Round since arriving at SN1, Branco is hell-bent on putting that right on Friday.
“We’ve got another challenge on Friday and it is one of the greatest challenges for us this season,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk.
“We want to achieve things and we want to go as far as we can in this competition – we’ve got a very big opportunity on Friday.
“It won’t be easy and it will be a very tough game. We know the way they play and we’ve been working hard this week to get ready for it.
“Since I’ve been here we’ve not been successful in the FA Cup and we’ve lost in the First Round in each of the last three seasons.
“It gives us more motivation to go through and we want to beat Eastleigh, go through to the next round and get ready for the next challenge.
“We know it is not going to be easy and we need to be ready. It is a big opportunity to start the season again and we can put things right.
“It won’t be easy because they have a very good side and they are doing okay in the league so we must be ready.”
