MATCH PREVIEW - TOWN V CHARLTON ATHLETIC

11 November 2016

Town will be looking to put on a show in-front of the Sky Sports cameras when they host Charlton Athletic at The County Ground on Saturday (12pm Kick-Off).

The TV cameras will be out in full force at SN1 tomorrow as Luke Williams’ side attempt to get the better of the Addicks and secure a vital three points in the Sky Bet League One.

Town have faced a break from action on the domestic front following their 4-1 defeat to Scunthorpe United last month, facing Eastleigh and Exeter City in the Emirates FA Cup and Checkatrade Trophy respectively.

Charlton, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last six outings in all competitions and will be looking to keep that run going on Saturday.

STAT ATTACK:

Town and Charlton have met on 59 occasions in all competitions with the Addicks able to boast 27 wins to the Robins’ 14.

A WORD FROM BOTH CAMPS:

Luke Williams, Swindon Town Head Coach: “They are going to be formidable tomorrow – I’ve got no doubt about that.

“We have to be at the top of our game to get a result but I’m very optimistic.

“We look forward to being back at home and we strongly believe we’re going to be able to get the points and get our season really started.”

Russell Slade, Charlton Athletic Manager: “I think our results have started to back that up. In terms of performances in general, they are slowly starting to come together.

“We have got to maintain it – that is the trick. We need to reproduce it and reproduce it and continue to improve, so that we can climb the table.

“It’s such a tight league. It is incredible really and it reinforces how you need that momentum that managers always talk about.”
