REF WATCH: James Linington To Oversee Rovers Clash

27 January 2017

James Linington will be the man in the middle for Town’s Derby Day showdown with Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

The Referee, who has been officiating in the EFL since the 2008/09 campaign, will take charge of the Reds’ trip to The Memorial Stadium tomorrow (12:30pm Kick-Off).

Linington has refereed 20 games this season, mostly in the Sky Bet Championship, dishing out 93 yellow cards and just the one red card.

His last outing saw him take charge of Ipswich Town’s 3-2 victory against Blackburn earlier this month.

Linington last oversaw a Town game back in August 2014 with the Reds losing 1-0 away at Crawley Town in League One.

Linington’s Assistants for tomorrow’s big game will be Neil Davies and Daniel Leach, while Christopher Sarginson has been selected as the Fourth Official.
