Lawrence Vigouroux has vowed that Town will learn from their recent mistakes and get stronger as a result.
It has been a tough couple of weeks for the Robins who have suffered three defeats on the bounce in the league, with controversial decisions going against them during the losses to Oxford United and Bury.
Tuesday was another disappointing night at SN1 with two late goals handing Bristol Rovers all three points.
However, Vigouroux – who was in fine form between the sticks against the Gas – knows it is only a matter of time until Town embark on a winning run.
“I was disappointed that we didn’t get the three points against Bristol Rovers. We started the game really well and then we tried to hang on, which you can’t do in this league,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk.
“We’ll learn from it and we’ll bounce back and we’ll get better.
“We’ve got a lot of games coming up so we need to get as many points as we can then we’re on a roll.
“Oldham is a tough place to go but I’m hoping that we show up like we did for the first ten minutes on Tuesday for the whole 90 minutes on Saturday and then we’ll be fine.
“I prefer playing Saturday-Tuesday because we don’t have a lot of time to dwell if it’s a bad result, and if we win then we can go on a little run early doors.
“I’m looking forward to Saturday and hopefully we can get a win.”
Vigouroux returned from suspension to put on a fine display against Bristol Rovers in midweek, producing a string of fine saves including a stunning stop to deny Matty Taylor late on in the second-half, exploits that earned the stopper the Man of the Match Award.
“It was nice to come back into the team but I don’t really celebrate personal awards because I’m more of a team player, so I would rather the team won than I got the Man of the Match Award,” he added.
“If I remember correctly, they have played a long ball forward and Matty Taylor has gone through on the left-hand side before having a shot and it was just instinct.
“We work on it in training and it is something that I have tried to get into my game.
“It was an instinctive save and if you watch it back Nath (Nathan Thompson) plays the calmest header I think I’ve ever seen in my career. He’s on his goal-line and he’s just headed it back to me, which was class.”
