Town Head Coach Luke Williams is expecting hard work, commitment and lots of endeavour from Millwall this weekend.
Swindon welcome the high-flying Lions to The County Ground tomorrow (1:30pm Kick-Off) with both teams in need of a victory.
And Williams knows his side are in for a tough test and believes the opening stages of the game will prove to be very important.
“I think the team represent the manager very, very well and you can really see the personality on the pitch,” he said.
“It is fair to say the two strikers (Steve Morison and Lee Gregory) are outstanding and they are the perfect partnership.
“They work so well together and the team respect them enormously and play to their strengths.
“There’s no end to the work-rate and the amount of running and commitment, so it is what you would expect from Neil Harris and what you would expect from Millwall.
“It is a big test for us again.
“They are going to run the hard miles and that means we will get less time on the ball because they are always willing to press you, they will play forward quickly and they will back it up with willing runners.
“They are prepared to work hard and they respect each other and that is the basis of a very good team.
“They’ve got a manager who can help them to play to their strengths and that’s why they are in a good position in the division because those things combine to give you a good end product.
“They always try to start games very brightly and impose themselves on you and let you know that you are playing against Millwall, and the fans will play their part and let you know that you are playing against Millwall.
“We need to be ready for that and that is part and parcel of playing against Millwall Football Club.
“We have had a hard time against them in the last couple of seasons and we were 2-0 down against them early here at The County Ground last season.
“They came out like lightning but we drew level and, the longer the game went on, it looked like there was only one winner in our favour.
“But they are a very difficult team to play against and the opening stages of the game will be important.”
Williams also once again stressed that he is confident his troops have what it takes to beat the drop this season.
“I always believe and we’ve got quality throughout the team,” he added.
“We’ve competed with the teams at the top end of the division and we’ve not been hammered out of sight and we’ve not been completely outclassed.
“We have faltered too many times and we’ve made too many mistakes in key areas of the pitch and we’ve missed too many golden opportunities at both ends of the pitch to put games out of reach.
“In the flow of the game we compete with most teams very sufficiently and very often we create more chances than our opponents but, unless we can rise that percent more and make that count, then we are going to find it difficult.
“But I do believe we’ve got enough in the building to get us out of this trouble.”
