Charity of the Year 2013/14

15 August 2013

SWINDON Town Football Club have selected the NSPCC as their Charity of the Year for 2013/14.

As well as working closely with the charity over the coming season, the Club will be holding a number of fundraising events.

General Manager Steve Murrall, commented: “Swindon Town are very pleased to be supporting the NSPCC during the forthcoming season.

“The club is proud to be working alongside such a recognised charity in promoting such an important cause.”

Anna Keir, Community Fundraising Manager at the NSPCC, said: “We are delighted to be Swindon Town Football Club’s chosen charity for the season.

“We rely on the generosity of the public for 90% of our funding, so Swindon Town’s support will help us continue to provide much needed services for children and families locally.

“The NSPCC’s Service Centre in Swindon is working directly with the most vulnerable children and families in the area. It is great that STFC, which is at the heart of the community in Swindon, will be working in partnership with the NSPCC to help improve the lives of local children. We are looking forward to working together over the next year.”

Keep an eye out on the official STFC website for details of fundraising events over the course of the season.
