Cooper: We Didn't Do A Lot Wrong Today

29 August 2015

MARK Cooper spoke to the media after Town's 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield United.

On the result...
I thought it was a very tactical game especially in the first half which I thought we had the better of in terms of possession. The worst result is 0-0 - we shouldn’t be losing that game. It comes down to pure concentration. Fair play to Sheffield United: you could see they came and waited for us to make a mistake and when you've got people like Billy Sharp and Connor Sammon in your team, they only need half a chance. I thought we didn’t do a lot wrong today. We got beaten by a side who I think will finish top of the league. If you finish above Sheffield United then you’ll have a champions medal around your neck.

On changes in personnel...
We've got 12/13 players we can pick from at the moment. I went to watch them (Sheffield United) the other night and they changed 10 players. It's great for them but we, at the moment, have four frontline players out and it really damages us. I thought Jordan Turnbull was outstanding. He wasn’t too keen on it (playing at left-back). We had a midfielder and centre-half playing full back but we have to do it.

On Man of the Match, Drissa Traore...
He was brilliant in the first half. I thought he was amazing and really rattled them and played beautifully.
