Cooper: We Played Particularly Well

13 December 2014

MARK Cooper spoke to the media after Town's 3-0 win at Notts County.

On the win...
We played particularly well again, we scored some good goals and didn’t look a bad team today. The most pleasing thing was that the game looked like it could get out of control but we kept our discipline. Notts rallied well with 10 men. We spoke at half time that we had to be emotionless in the second half and not give them energy. It was a difficult afternoon but we managed to navigate it quite well. We're pleased with three points.

On chances created...
Sometimes it can come back and bite you if you don’t take enough of the chances. Fortunately, we took three of them. Maybe could have scored a few more. It's always nice to put the game to bed quite early.

On Ben Gladwin...
We know he's got fantastic ability but we're not sure what his best position is. He's played there (left wing-back) before and he looked good so we now know that we have someone else who can play left wing back. The more minutes he plays, the more comfortable he's going to feel. You could see evidence of that today.

On the red card...
I haven't seen it again and I'd like to see it again. The ref gave it and gave them a free kick so it’s a bit confusing but it's important that we kept our discipline and we did that really well.
