ROSS Embleton has joined the Swindon Town backroom staff as first team coach.

Embleton started his coaching career under Martin Ling at Leyton Orient, working alongside Luke Williams at Brisbane Road. He has since worked for AFC Bournemouth, Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur before taking up his role at the County Ground.

Speaking to the official website earlier today, he admitted that coming to Swindon Town was a fantastic opportunity.

“It’s fantastic to come into an opportunity like this as first team coach with two people that are quite well known to me,” he said. “I’ve worked with them both (Martin and Luke) for a number of years in different times across my career.”

“One thing for any partnership or team of coaches when you work together, you want to make sure you’re all working towards the same thing, for the same outcome and in the same way. Although you share different opinions, it’s nice to know that people with similar views are going to be able to work together.”
