Embleton: Respect the Opposition

1 March 2016

ROSS Embleton says that Town must respect Doncaster Rovers this evening despite the two sides’ contrasting run of recent form.

Speaking to the media before tonight's clash at SN1, the first team coach added that fortunes can quickly change in football.

“It’s our job to make sure we respect the opposition all the time,” he said. “If we look at ourselves it wasn’t so long ago that people were looking at us as an opportunity to get three points so you have to realise how quickly things can turn around, whether that be good or bad.

“We’ve got to respect the fact they’ve got a manager with a hell of a lot of experience in the game. He’s been in jobs and worked with groups of players that have been successful and have gone on to do good things so we have to respect that and understand they’ll be working over the past couple of days to try and make sure they’re best prepared to come away with at least a point if not try to stop the run we’re on."
