Flint seals City switch

11 June 2013

ADEN Flint has completed a move to Bristol City this afternoon.

The defender has put pen to paper on a four-year deal and will join the Ashton Gate outfit for an undisclosed fee.

Flint joined Swindon from Alfreton Town in January 2011. After a difficult start to his County Ground career, the 23-year old went on to establish himself at the heart of Town’s defence under Paolo Di Canio. After netting on the opening day of the 2011/12 season, he helped Swindon claim the League Two title and reach Wembley in the final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Last season, he made 36 appearances as Town made the League One Play-Offs, weighing in with four goals along the way. He netted in the Capital One Cup win at Stoke City and scored a dramatic late equaliser at Griffin Park to take Swindon’s Play-Off Semi-Final second leg at Brentford to extra time.

In total, Flint made 79 appearances for Swindon and scored eight goals.
