TOWN’S Johnstone’s Paint Trophy first round tie at Newport County will not be played in the first week of September, as scheduled.

A NATO summit in Newport has resulted in the match being re-arranged.

A date and kick-off time will be confirmed after Swindon’s Capital One Cup clash with Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday evening.

The club would like to advise supporters wishing to make travel arrangements that the match will take place on a free Tuesday evening towards the end of September.
