Swindon Town completed the double over fellow title challengers Forest Green Rovers in the FA Women’s Premier League Division One South West, writes Roger Reeves.

Early play was fairly even with neither 'keeper being tested. As the half progressed the Town began to push forward and were rewarded four minutes before the break when Meg Vella’s shot took a deflection to find the corner of the net to put the Town ahead.

Rovers started the second half strongly but Town central defenders Sam Quinn and Laura Morgan restricted the visitors to few openings. As the game progressed play was confined to the midfield and few chances being created.

The win keeps the Town at the top of the league, three points ahead of second-placed Forest Green Rovers.
