LW: We'll take a draw

30 April 2016

LUKE Williams spoke to the media after Town's 2-2 draw at Rochdale.

On debutant, Will Henry.
What a fantastic start it's just incredible really. It wasn’t like he just made a fantastic save from a penalty but he made save after save. It was what you'd expect from an experienced goalkeeper. Steve (Hale) works very closely with the goalkeepers and he's someone we’re really interested in. We felt we could trust the boy to do a job. Failing any injury then we could expect to see him at the County Ground (next week). He's earned that.

On the point...
11 v 11 it might have been different because we put a lot of running into them and we looked fairly comfortable. We looked like we could defend the box and hold onto the lead. After that, we’ll take a draw. It’s a difficult pitch to impose our style of play so we'v had to try and do things that don't come natural to a lot of our players. To play on a rough pitch where the ball won't sit down is more challenging and characters were needed today.

On the red cards...
I'm finding the second one very difficult (to accept). It was very close to me. I saw very clearly what happened and I'm confused how the referee has come to that decision but as I always say, I respect the officials and I have to trust their decision. The first one I'm a long way from the action so I trust their decision.
