Swindon Town

MICHAEL Smith has joined Portsmouth on a 93-day loan.

The frontman moves to the south coast after a loan stint with Barnsley earlier this season.

The former Charlton man has made 18 appearances for both Town and the Tykes this term but is yet to hit the back of the net for either club.

Last season, Smith was a key part of the Swindon side that reached the League 1 Play-Off final, plundering 18 goals in all competitions.
