Wes: A Few Harder Sessions This Week

23 January 2015

WES Foderingham is anticipating some tougher training sessions with Head of Goalkeeping, Steve Hale, as Town look to make the most of an enforced break from action this weekend.

Speaking to STFC Player earlier this week, the Swindon stopper also weighed up the pros and cons of no fixture on Saturday.

"Our squad is quite thin and there are a few niggles as well so it will give us the time to settle things down," he said. "But, on the other side, we're playing well at the moment and want to keep the momentum going so either way we'll deal with it. It just so happens we've got a break.

"I imagine there will be a few harder sessions this week, obviously because we don't have the game so I'm sure Steve (Hale) will be rubbing his hands together."

Town's next destination in League 1 is Bramall Lane, a ground on which Swindon have failed to win since 1970.

"I always like playing at Sheffield United," he continued. "It's a great atmosphere and they've got great fans as well so it bodes for a good game. We haven't won there for a while but I still enjoy those games and hopefully we can turn that around this time."
