SWINDON Town have offered first-year professional contracts to five young players ahead of the 2013/14 season.
The following players have been offered a one-year professional contract:
Alex Ferguson
Mark Francis
Aaron Oakley
Louis Thompson
Connor Waldon
The following players have not been offered a professional contract, but have been invited back to the club for pre-season training:
Aaron Ferris
Jake Johns
Jake Simpson
Luke Murden has not been offered a professional contract.
Academy Manager, Jeremy Newton, commented: “We are very pleased with the progress that has been made by our players this season.
"Congratulations to all those who have been offered a professional contract, some of whom have been with the club since the age of eight.
“To those not offered a professional contract, we will offer them support and do everything we can to try and help them find a new club.
“The hard work will begin all over again for the Academy in July when the first and second year scholars return for pre-season.”
The club would like to thank all players for their considerable efforts during their time with Swindon Town FC and wish them every success in their future careers.
2013/14 first-year scholars:
Josh Cooke, Joe English, Amir Geid, Tommy Holland, Lee Marshall, Luke Matthews, Callum McCormack, Aaron Moody and Will Randall.
2013/14 second-year scholars:
Curtis Da Costa, Josh Helm, Matty Jones, Salvyn Kisitu, Ryan Rawlins and Liam Walsh
