Swindon Town's main sponsor Samsung have launched the third season of their 'Win A Pro Contract' nationwide football talent search, in association with Swindon Town FC and Leyton Orient FC.
For the first time since the competition began, there will be two professional contracts on offer as League One Leyton Orient join Samsung's existing partnership with Swindon Town.
Amateur players of all abilities can enter, and this year two winners will each earn a one-year professional contract - one at each Football League club. Hopefuls will be tested at regional trials and matches as they bid to kick-start their dreams of becoming a professional footballer.
Last year's winner, Chris Smith, signed for Swindon in February and made his first team debut against Bradford on May 5. Smith said: "I entered the competition last summer but never expected to win it. Luckily my first trial went well and from there I took it game-by-game.
"When Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio told me I'd won I just couldn't believe it. I was in shock and didn't know what to say.
"I've had the time of my life since joining Swindon. It really is a dream come true.
"I can't recommend Samsung 'Win A Pro Contract' highly enough. The competition changed my life and I'm sure it will do the same for two more lads next season."
Regional trials are held at Goals Soccer Centres throughout the UK, where players will be monitored by club scouts and expert talent spotters FootballCV.
The best players at the trials are chosen for matches at professional and semi-professional club grounds across the country.
The top 11 players are then selected for the Samsung 'Win A Pro Contract' Final which will be held at either Swindon Town's County Ground or Leyton Orient's Matchroom Stadium towards the end of the year.
After a week in training with both clubs, two winners will then be selected by Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio and Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade, and invited to sign a professional playing contract at their respective club in January 2013.
Di Canio said: "Last season I chose Chris Smith as the winner and he has worked very hard since joining my squad.
"It is a lovely story and that story can continue. He is a good professional already and he has confidence. I am sure he can build his career.
"Next season I hope to find another player with the talent and attitude to join my squad and begin a new life as a professional footballer."
Samsung Sponsorship Director Martin Howard said: "We're delighted to welcome Leyton Orient as partners in 'Win A Pro Contract' 2012/13.
"With two professional contracts up for grabs for the first time, we're sure this year's 'Win A Pro Contract' will be bigger and better than ever before.
"This competition gives amateur players another chance to fulfil their dreams and I'm sure we will uncover even more talented footballers from across the UK next season.
"Through our sponsorships, we are proud to be involved with football from the Premier League to Football League."
