A strong rearguard action from Town ensured a point from arguably one of the toughest grounds to visit in League One.
18 Huddersfield corners just shows the amount of pressure we had to deal with and our summer signings Gordon Greer, Scott Cuthbert and David Lucas once again showed how valuable they are to our promotion push this season.
It was a poor start with Simon Ferry uncharacteristically letting Peter Clarke go past him, and score from a tight angle that should have been saved - but like I said, we only got a draw because of Lucas so we will forget that one.
However, we got an instant reply through Charlie Austin which was perfect, who doesn't seem to want to stop scoring and long may it continue.

Danny Ward has also been a revelation in the last two months with his performances on the left wing. An assist and a goal on Saturday continued his great form and proved that the extension of his loan deal until the end of the season was smart business by Danny Wilson.
We had to deal with a barrage of Huddersfield pressure in the second half and some outstanding saves and defensive work helped us gain a point from The Galpharm Stadium.
That point is definitely one of the hardest we have claimed this season and most importantly it kept our place in fifth.
However, after last night's results Huddersfield have closed the gap between ourselves and them again, but with a game in hand hopefully we can re-extend the points difference between us and the rest of the chasing pack.

After my blog last week we added the signing of Matt Ritchie to our ranks. Ritchie has gained rave reviews from those in League Two after his spells at Notts County and Dagenham and Redbridge so hopefully he will add to those at the Town.
With Ward's current form though, Ritchie may have to be a squad player for now, but his arrival has definitely added quality in depth to the squad as we build a side capable of keeping up this push to the playoffs.
With that signing we have good depth in quality in midfield with Jon Paul McGovern also continuing his improved form this season on the right wing.
Danny Wilson though may not have stopped his loan signings there but if that was it, the squad has enough quality on the bench with players like Pericard, Easton, Timlin and Morrison all in reserve.

Wilson has definitely crafted a squad capable of continuing this form and with Carlisle at home Saturday, it is these sorts of games until the end of the season that we must win.
This is because, when we come to the big games that are left this season against sides like Norwich, we don't want to have dropped silly points along the way.
A win on Saturday will continue our great run of ten games unbeaten and with two games in hand over Charlton and Colchester we can even make third, though I am not getting too excited - it's just simple maths!
