Town fan Adam Johnson gives his views on a creditable draw at The Matchroom Stadium, and previews the visit of local rivals Bristol Rovers to The County Ground this Saturday......
'We dug in, defended brilliantly, and got a big result today, make no mistake.'
That was Danny Wilson's assessment of Saturday's 0-0 draw against Leyton Orient, and I think he summed it up perfectly.
A point against Leyton Orient may seem like an opportunity lost with Bristol Rovers doing us a favour and beating Colchester United, but we still have chances to climb up the table.
At the start of the season, I thought our home form would be the key and that has proved the case so far. Away points are a big bonus and the one claimed at Orient continues our unbeaten run and current form.
I don't think Town deserved the three points so to get a point was a good result, especially in the difficult conditions.

In the last few minutes however both sides had chances but thanks to a good save from the Orient 'keeper, and a brilliant last ditch Jonathan Douglas tackle, neither side nicked the points.
The main talking point was the last minute penalty decision where, judging by Billy Paynter's reaction, a spot-kick should have been given, and where the referee got a foul BY Paynter from is beyond me.
Finally on that game, it's necessary to mention the disgraceful scenes involving a flare being lit in the away section.
This behaviour has been condemned by the club for the obvious reasons and I'd like to think that most fans don't need to use flares to make games interesting.
Scenes like this cause unnecessary problems and make our club look bad, which is an image we have stayed clear from for a long time now, and hopefully it will prove to be an isolated incident that we can move on from.

Onto this Saturday and and what is a massive West Country derby against Bristol Rovers.
Our last defeat was at the hands of Paul Trollope's side, so the players need no motivation to perform and settle the score.
From memory it was a long, cold afternoon stood on the terraces of The Memorial Ground and so three points will make up for that abysmal performance back in December.
Rovers may not be right in the play-off mix but they are still a good side so any slip up by us will give them and the other teams around the top six a sniff off our spot, so this good form must be continued on Saturday.
A big crowd hopefully awaits the players on Saturday and so much vocal support will be needed to beat the Gas.
