In this week's entry, he gives his take on last week's 0-0 at Leyton Orient and sings the praises of the club's team ethic ahead of this Saturday's crunch local derby with Bristol Rovers.

I was looking forward to Leyton Orient: a trip to the east end and a look at the Olympic Park promised to be interesting.

The game itself wasn't the best, but it was a great point for the Town on an awful pitch, and it made me realise how lucky we are to enjoy watching football on the wonderful County Ground playing surface.

And as for the penalty that never was..? I still can't see how it wasn't, but never mind - we move on.

Sadly the flare incident was the main talking point, but nothing much more need be said on that, suffice it to say I thought I might be reporting on a major tragedy at one point, but thank goodness that wasn't the case.

However the one thing that stands out about the footballing side of things at the moment, and I guess the rest of the club, is that everybody seems to be pulling in the same direction.

It was a gritty team performance at Brisbane Road - the sort of display that brings a successful season.

Often we've seen Town sides dominated by one or two players in the squad in terms of the headlines, but not this term - it is a great team that we have.

That's not to say that some individuals are not having special seasons...obviously we know about Charlie Austin and Billy Paynter up front, but the likes of JP McGovern, Jonathan Douglas, Simon Ferry, Danny Ward....gosh the whole lot, are just playing out of their skins, and the attitude of the loan players really sums the place up.

For Ferry, Ward, and Alan Sheehan to regularly put in committed displays shows exactly what I mean about the team ethic that is running through the club.

So what's to come...?

Well who knows, but it's bound to be the old roller coaster ride, ups and downs and a couple of sideways as well, but hopefully it will be a great end to the season.

It's been one of the most enjoyable Town campaigns I've seen in the 40-odd years I've been watching Swindon, and that memorable Leeds game a few weeks ago was one of THE great nights.

Rovers are up next, and that cold Saturday before Christmas is one of the few low spots so far....revenge against the Gas would be great, and then we'd be able to put thoughts of that 3-0 defeat behind us.

Danny didn't get too down about that, because he knows it's a long season. Three points for Town on Saturday would bring memories of last May's victory over the Pirates which kept us up flooding back, and that defeat earlier this season would be forgotten.

I'll finish this week by saying this season has made me proud to be a Town fan.

I can't think of a better feeling than the one I've got about this team and I really hope they get what they deserve at the end of it.

Until next week!
