Adam Johnson has some rare subject matter about which to write this week: consecutive defeats!
More often than not, my attitude as a football fan is pessimistic. I don't like to get ahead of myself and our two recent defeats show my reasoning behind that.
Don't get me wrong, I have been more upbeat this season than any other, but I knew our blip was just hiding round the corner.
Every team have their time in the season for a bad run and hopefully ours will just be these two games.
However any Town fan with a bit of knowledge could see that luck has played a big part in the last two games and we have come out on the wrong side of that.
The Bristol Rovers result was a huge shock to all Swindon fans, especially considering our early domination of the match.

In the first minute of the game we hit the post through an Alan Sheehan free kick and by half time we were 3-0 down - you wouldn't have seen it coming.
Many have commented since that even by losing 4-0 we were mostly the better team, but that is no consolation.
Two of their goals were brilliant: the Kuffour lob and Chris Lines free kick, while the other two were due to some rare poor defending from Town, and there was no way back from there.
The defeat was obviously very hard to take, especially considering how we had only lost once in the last couple of months but an opportunity to bounce back was on offer at stadiumMK.

Before the game we heard of the decision to drop Charlie Austin and Gordon Greer which did leave me wondering.
Austin I can assume was dropped because of his fitness but Greer, after his consistency was a surprise to me.
Morrison and Pericard are good enough replacements and should be able to be counted on to put in a performance but it was sadly Morrison who was at fault for MK Dons first goal.
We can say that we were unlucky as again, like the Rovers game, we were denied by the woodwork but not just once this, but on three separate occasions in the first half alone.

This isn't an excuse that Danny Wilson will use as we again have failed in front of goal after such a goal spree in the last few months.
So, what can we do to get back on track this weekend for a play-off place? We need to focus and forget about the last two games but that is not just the players, also the fans.
On the positive side, if any fan is moaning about us losing two in a row, they need some perspective on our season and may have got too ahead of themselves!
We have had a great run and need to be behind the lads in knowing we can go to Brighton and claim all three points.
Danny Wilson's red and white army!
