ADY'S SEASON ROUND-UP

Posted on: Fri 09 May 2008

Club Captain Ady Williams offers his views on the 2007/08 season with a look ahead to the new campaign.

Looking at the season as a whole, it has at times been quite a bumpy ride.

Thankfully since the new Consortium arrived they have bought about much needed stability to the football club, both on and off the field. I really do feel next season will be one of excitement and success, and hopefully we will give you the supporters a lot more to cheer about. I am looking forward to being part of it and I know the players are as well.

We finished the season on a high and went unbeaten in the last four games. In my view the season has been pretty successful.

Several players have now left the club to pursue new careers elsewhere. I am grateful to have this opportunity to wish them all the very best and thank them all for their efforts and also for their friendship.

It has been an up and down season but it has been one with several memorable moments. The home win against Port Vale, where without being too disrespectful, we absolutely destroyed them. The home game against Swansea was another good one, with possibly the best atmosphere of the season.

I would like to thank you, the fans, for your valuable support throughout the season and wish you all a very happy break and look forward with anticipation to seeing you all next season.

It has been an honour to have Captained Swindon Tow Football Club and would like to express my gratitude to all concerned.

Enjoy the summer
