J-P McGovern believes it was a case of a point gained for Town following their 0-0 draw with Leyton Orient this afternoon.
The midfielder admitted it was difficult task for the side to play their usual free-flowing style of football on what was a seriously damaged surface at The Matchroom Stadium, but was delighted to have helped extend Town's unbeaten run to 14 games.
"It was a hard game, on a hard surface but we'll definitely take a point from it," he said.
"Orient know what this place is about because they play here every week, but we had to adapt to it and I thought we did that well today.
"We tried to be a bit more direct which didn't really suit us that much, but we dealt with the conditions well and got a decent point."

McGovern was also encouraged that the result shows Town's tendency of picking up three points from home games and one point from away trips is becoming an increasingly fruitful habit.
He said: "Over the course of the season if you win your home games and nick your points away from home then you'll be successful.
"We're doing that at the moment so long may it continue."
And, having signed a new two-year contract last week, McGovern praised the work ethic of his teammates, which was showcased as clearly as ever in a battling performance in East London.
He said: "Eastie came on and works his socks off, and Dougie is that bit of steel in the middle of the park as well which was really valuable today.
"We all have a bit of banter about being the cement mixers in the team.
"But everyone mucks in together and that's why we're doing so well this season."
