Danny Wilson was delighted to have agreed the loan signing of Liverpool full-back Stephen Darby this morning, claiming that Town have 'a high quality player' on their hands.
The 21-year-old is likely to be part of the squad travelling to East Sussex to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, and the manager gave his views on a signing that he hopes will see the start of a fruitful relationship with the Merseyside club.
He said: "It's important to establish relationships with clubs you can trust, and hopefully we can have that with Liverpool now.

"These relationships with the bigger clubs are important to have for us, as they are for them as well because a lot of their players have to look to lower league football to aid their development.
"Fortunately I know most of the people up there and I've had a good relationship with them over a number of years which is a bonus.
"Boys like Stephen are very much sought after and we're very thankful that we've been given the chance to take him on."
He added that Darby's experience of the pressures of top level football will stand him in good stead as Town's League One play-off chase reaches its crucial stages.
"We've got a high quality player coming in who's played Premiership and Champions League football so he won't be overawed by anything," said Wilson.
"So the three big games we've got coming up against Brighton, Southampton and Norwich won't faze him at all which is great."
