Alan Connell has been on cloud nine this week following his double against Rotherham last Saturday.
The former Grimsby striker scored with his first touch after coming on as a substitute before grabbing a late winner to see Town double their points tally for the campaign.
Yet Connell admits he can't talk all the plaudits. After thanking Matt Ritchie for the crossing that led to his opening header, Connell heaped praise on his boss.
"The gaffer has to take credit for timing my substitution to perfection," he explains. "He just told me where I was supposed to be on set pieces and worked straight away."
Connell is delighted to have registered his first goals for the club after what he admits has been a frustrating start for him. He has come off the bench in all five league games and been taken off in the two cup matches he's started, but he feels it's up to him to prove he's worthy of a starting place.
"It has been a frustrating season. I came off quite early against Southampton, but you have to get on with it," he says.
"You have to accept the decision. It's tough to take and it can knock your confidence, but you have to believe in yourself. My teammates have helped me, and after the Southampton game the manager made a point of telling me he respected my reaction. He was pleased because he wants a united group.
"He wants us to be together and he believes that some players can do a job in different games. I feel fit and strong and it's a long season, so I'm sure I'll take my chances when they come."
Moreover, Connell feels he's benefitting from his move to Wiltshire and in particular, he's hoping to tap into the manager's experience as a forward.
"Paolo is hard on the forwards. He knows more than anyone what can lead to success and he wants us to do those things.
"There's no complacency from anyone of us and we have to be on the ball physically and mentally every day. Personally, I love the fact he wants us to work as partnerships, with one striker dropping short and another going long behind. That means we should never be flat and makes it difficult for defenders.

"He has emphasized that point from day one and to be honest that is my ideal situation."
Also ideal, Connell admits, is the growing unity in the camp. Matt Ritchie's celebration on the touchline on Saturday quelled any fears of dissention in the camp and Connell feels everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet.
"We've had a lot of new signings but we all know each other quite well now, not just in the team but also around the whole club.
"I hope the supporters realise we're giving our all and we're all in it together."
