Town made no changes for the game with Lee Peacock making his first home start of the campaign.

Peter Brezovan made his first appearance at The County Ground since August whilst Billy Paynter and Simon Cox continued their fruitful partnership up front.

Before kick-off there was a minute's applause to remember six-year old fan Dylan O'Neill, who sadly passed away on September 28 after battling against cancer.

It was not the desired opening to the game for The Robins who went a goal down with just six minutes played. Swindon's defensive frailties saw Liam Dickinson prod the ball home from the edge of the six yard box.

Swindon rallied with Billy Paynter's powerful volley firing wide of the uprights on eight minutes before Jerel Ifil blocked another effort from Dickinson at the other end.

Huddersfield keeper Matt Glennon had to be alert to pick a Simon Cox flick on out of the sky after some good build-up play on the right from Easton and Amankwaah. Swindon were building, but finding chances hard to come by.

A gargantuan throw from Brezovan on 17 minutes saw the ball reach Paynter past the half way line, and having turned his marker played in Easton. His cross was cut out before Timlin could apply the finish.

The forward momentum continued with Simon Cox forcing a low save from Glennon before Jerel Ifil hammered the ball into the Stratton Bank from the resulting Swindon corner.

Three successive corners followed as the game passed the twenty minute mark with Morrison's header the closest Swindon came to an equaliser. Glennon had arrived at The County Ground in form.

Michael Timlin was brought down for a penalty on 25 minutes with two Huddersfield defenders combining to bring down the former Fulham midfielder. Unfortunately Glennon was again found hard to beat as he got down to his right to save from Cox.

Immediately after the restart the visitors doubled their lead. A quick attack saw the ball find Gary Roberts on the left hand edge of the area and he blasted the ball past Brezovan into the roof of the net.

Lilian Nalis was booked before the half hour mark with the visitors continuing to enjoy plenty of possession. Liam Dickinson then forced a fine save from Brezovan who got some distance on the punch clear.

Michael Timlin was then booked before Brezovan and Dickinson were involved in a collision inside the Swindon box as the Slovak keeper came out to claim the ball. Both players were able to continue after Dickinson had briefly received treatment.

Timlin then fired a low left foot drive narrowly wide as the fourth officials board was raised to signal three minutes of added time.

Swindon made no changes for the second half with Maurice Malpas keeping faith with the same eleven that finished the first period.

A neat move involving Cox and Paynter saw the latter go close before Timlin's corner was headed clear with The Robins still searching for their first goal of the afternoon.

On 55 minutes there was a change with Lilian Nalis withdrawn and Anthony McNamee taking his place on the left hand side of midfield. The switch saw Michael Timlin move inside to the centre of midfield alongside Peacock.

Brezovan then made a decent stop from Nathan Clarke with Huddersfield still showing ambition despite their two goal advantage.

A fine run from Morrison on the right hand side following a returned throw saw the centreback advance past two challenges before unselfishly squaring the ball to Peacock. The midfielder saw two low drives blocked with Swindon left to start again in their search for a goal.

Danny Cadamarteri was replaced by Phil Jevons in the Terriers' front line on 64 minutes with Barry Corr also introduced into the action for Swindon, replacing Billy Paynter.

The visitors extended their lead with Michael Flynn finishing well from the edge of the box. Jack Smith had blocked an initial shot of the line before the ball found Flynn on the edge of the area who smashed the ball home.

Barry Corr came close to grabbing a goal back for Swindon with a close range header on 78 minutes although the Irishman's close range effort sailed over the bar.

Lee Peacock then had a simular opportunity from a McNamee cross, but unfortunately Peacock's header failed to trouble Glennon in the Terrier's goal.

Swindon did salvage a goal back in the remaining minutes. A McNamee cross found Corr inside the box and after the Irishman chested the ball down Easton lashed he ball home from 14 yards out.
