A quick-fire second half brace from striker Sam Baldock saw MK Dons come from behind to take all three points at stadiumMK on Saturday afternoon.
Town had taken the lead on the stroke of half-time with Scott Cuthbert heading home from a Sean Morrison long-throw, but the home side came back strongly to capitalise with Baldock taking full advantage with two close-range finishes to hand Karl Robinson's side their second win inside five days.
Town named an unchanged line-up for the game with Charlie Austin overcoming a hamstring strain sustained in last weekend's home encounter against Brentford. The home side included former Swindon skipper Sean O'Hanlon and Dietmar Hamann, with 59 caps for Germany to his name, in their line-up.
The game soon opened up with both sides having early opportunities to break the deadlock. David Prutton had the ball in the net with a neat left-foot finish on nine minutes but the offside flag denied The Robins what would have been a swift, and well executed, opener.

MK Dons striker Jermaine Easter made his presence felt twice inside the first ten minutes. First, he clashed with Town keeper David Lucas just inside the box but escaped punishment before seeing a low free-kick denied by a superb stop from the aforementioned stopper.
Swindon began to move into gear as the half-hour mark approached and forced David Martin top tip the ball over his own bar on 27 minutes following a high cross into the box from McGovern. Town's first corner of the game followed with Martin untroubled.
David Lucas was by far the busier of the two keepers in the opening half and he showed a fine pair of hands five minutes before the break to hold a low drive from Peter Leven.
Town made the breakthrough a minute inside first half injury-time. A long throw in from the right by Sean Morrison was met at the near post by Scott Cuthbert who flicked a header beyond Martin into the net.

Swindon emerged for the second half unchanged, although the first switch of the game followed just five minutes after the break with Thomas Dossevi replaced by Vincent Pericard.
David Prutton was cautioned on 54 minutes for a block, although Swindon were beginning to exert some serious pressure on the home side, with Prutton making a number of telling contributions. The midfielder was denied his second goal in Town colours just after the hour following a neat turn on the edge of the box with Luke Chadwick blocking the resultant shot.
Town's lead was wiped out with 21 minutes to go with Sam Baldock heading home following a corner from Dean Lewington. The striker pounced just sixty seconds later to put his side ahead, with David Lucas blocking an initial effort from O'Hanlon before Baldock's diving header put MK Dons ahead.
Swindon responded by making their final change of the afternoon with Manchester City loanee David Ball replacing Alan O'Brien out wide on the left.
Town almost conceded a third with seven minutes to go. A driving run from Lewis Guy saw the substitute bypass Rose before sliding the ball across to Baldock but he was denied by superb block from Town goalscorer Cuthbert.

Swindon's afternoon went from bad to worse with David Prutton dismissed for a second yellow after a challenge on Baldock two minutes from time. The Referee's whistle brought an end to the game minutes later with the large away support left frustrated by a frustrating showing from The Robins.
