Ady Williams insisted Town must take the positives from Saturday's game with Barnet despite seeing the Third Round tie going to a replay.

Town went ahead through Blair Sturrock after half-time before striker Adam Birchall came off the bench to earn a replay for Paul Fairclough's side.

Williams offered his views on the encounter post-match and started by assessing what went wrong against The Bees.

"It was a complete contrast to the Swansea game wasn't it? We let Barnet off the hook to be honest," he said.

"We sat off them and when the game was stretched we seemed to struggle. The gap between defence and midfield was too big at times.

"There was experience out there but it just didn't happen. Something had to happen and we needed to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

"Barnet looked like they would be the team to go on and get the winner at the end there.

"It's a busy period and it's amazing how goals change games. When we went a goal up we looked full of energy, but when we conceded everyone looked tired."

Blair Sturrock opened the scoring for Swindon with his fourth goal of the campaign although the Town caretaker boss believes the leveller from the visitors shouldn't have come around.

"J-P cut through with the pass and Miguel did well too. Blair was in the right place at the right time to finish it off," said Fitton.

"We had Barnet on the back foot and we didn't finish them off. There will always be times when the away team will come back into the game and we didn't deal with that as we should have.

"It was a great finish from Birchall. It was a goal that should have been avoided and it was a terrible goal to concede. We have had words in the dressing room because that shouldn't have happened."

Williams insists Town must take the positives from the game with the return date in North London now confirmed as Tuesday 15th January 2008 with a 7.45pm Kick-Off.

"We are still in the hat, that's the main thing. We have made life difficult for ourselves and now have to go to Underhill and win the game. We often make life difficult for us, but we must look forward to the replay and be positive."
