BLACKBURN HEADS OUT
Swindon Town defender Chris Blackburn looks to have played his last game for the club after agreeing to join Weymouth until the end of the current campaign.
Blackburn joined Swindon in the summer of 2007 on a free transfer after helping Morecambe secure promotion to the Football League in the Play-Off final at Wembley.
He has made just four league starts for Swindon this term as well as three League One appearances off the bench.
However, following the arrival of new boss Maurice Malpas, Blackburn was told his contract would not be renewed and a search for a new club ensued.
Blackburn - who has 212 league starts to his name - has now agreed a loan switch to Blue Square Premier side Weymouth until the end of the season, joining striker Jake Hyde and midfielder Franklin Anzite at the Wessex Stadium.
Weymouth, currently just inside the relegation zone, host Forest Green Rovers this evening.
