Swindon Town Season Tickets went on general sale on Monday morning with the club closing in on 1,000 Season Tickets for the 2008/09 season after just one week of sale.

Existing Season Ticket Holders have until 16th June to renew their seats, but Season Tickets are now on general sale.

Town fan Andy Tuck was one of the first to purchase a new Season Ticket shortly after 9am on Monday morning.

He explained his thoughts on the season ahead and the current Season Ticket offering as he caught up with the official website.

"I have been a season ticket holder before, but for various reasons I chose not to last year," said Tuck.

"Following the arrival of the new Board and with the current initiatives that are in place, I have now purchased a Season Ticket.

"If you look at the success that Bradford City have had then that should serve as an example of what can be done.

"I would urge all Swindon fans to come down and get a Season Ticket because at less than £10 a game, it is great value.

Tuck added: "There is no doubt that the club is changing for the better and I think we have an awful lot to look forward to.

"I think there will be an immense influx of new Season Ticket holders and I think we will make the 6,000 mark."
