Swindon Town striker Simon Cox has reassured Robin's fans that he will be back for the start of next season, after being spotted in Madrid over the weekend!

The 21-year old former Reading front man has become a popular figure in Wiltshire after scoring 15 goals last term and is already looking forward to the start of the 2008/09 season.

Cox was enjoying an end of season break in Madrid and whilst there, took a tour of the Bernabeu before watching Real Madrid celebrate the La Liga title in style with a 5-2 victory over Levante.

"I went over for a long weekend with my girlfriend and took the chance to get away," he said.

"Madrid as a place was great and we had a good look around the city before going down to the stadium. We had a tour of the Bernabeu before going to the game - and we couldn't have wished for a better match to see as Madrid put five past Levante and celebrated the title.

"I got back at the start of the week. I am going away again in June and will look forward to that, before reporting back for pre-season training at the end of June.

Cox added: "It is an exciting season ahead and one everyone is looking forward to.

"We had a strong finish, unbeaten in the last four games, and there is no reason we can't build on that."
