MANAGER'S VERDICT ON FINAL CLASH
Town boss Maurice Malpas has hailed the pre-season tour to Austria as a fantastic success despite a final game defeat against FC Zlin on Tuesday.
The match followed draws against Steaua Bucharest and Fenerbahce earlier in the tour, with the squad returning to Wiltshire on Wednesday afternoon.
Speaking to the media after Tuesday's encounter, the boss offered his appraisal of the defeat, team building and three-game tour.
"I think after the adrenaline rush of playing likes of Steaua Bucharest and Fenerbahce, the players found it difficult to perform out there today," said Malpas.
"They weren't mentally sharp and you could see they were tired but we have trained them hard because we want them to be a fit, fit side.
"We have had a fantastic week though. The facilities have been excellent and the games we have played have test us, which is what we wanted. Our fitness is there now and now it is just a case of getting the match sharpness.
"If we are going to do well in League One this year then the players have to be able to play well against the top sides as well as the lesser ones. Our organisation wasn't as good against FC Zlin, and that's something we will have to work on.
"It has been an excellent trip and we now go into the game against Portsmouth on Friday night. The closer we get to 9th August then the sharper the players have to be mentally as much as anything."

The Manager is still keen to move in the transfer market and has been on the trail of several potential targets.
"We are still looking at bringing in a few players and that's something we need to do. If John Hills' fitness is up to scratch then we may involve him in a game next week.
"I am acutely aware that our fans are after a few new signings and we are looking to do what we can.
He added: "We need to add quality to the squad to give us a chance of getting Swindon Town in the mix at the end of the season."
