Swindon Town have this afternoon signed defender Yinka Casal on a two-year deal from Dutch club Cambuur.
The former Fulham left-back arrived in England late on Wednesday night and after talks with the Town management this afternoon, has now put pen to paper to join The Robins on a permanent basis.
Casal, speaking to STFC World, admitted his delight at being back on home turf.
"English football is where I want to be and it's great to be back," he said.
"I hope the Swindon fans get to see a lot of me this season. I am an attack-minded full-back and have a bit of pace, hopefully I can use that to good effect!
"The squad seems in great shape and I know a few of the lads already, such as Timms and Macca. The manager has been fantastic with me and I am looking forward to improving my game here."
Swindon Town open the season against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday afternoon, but could the new signing make a late bid for action this weekend?
"It's possible," he enthused. "I have been travelling for the last couple of days, but now I am here I want to get straight to it.
"If the manager gives me the call then it would be great to be involved at the weekend," Casal added.
Casal has been handed squad number 16.
