Christian Roberts was handed the opportunity to says his farewells to The County Ground before kick-off on Sunday afternoon.

The Welshman announced his retirement from the professional game on Thursday afternoon after four years with The Robins.

After stints with Cardiff City, Exeter City and Bristol City, the front man arrived at Swindon in October 2004.

Memorable displays came against the likes of Hull City, Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth Argyle and the player is now set for a career in sports agency management.

His last appearance in the red and white of Swindon Town came off the bench in a 3-2 home win over Huddersfield Town in March 2008.

In total he scored 62 goals in just over 300 league appearances during an eleven-year career.

Christian was warmly welcomed onto the pitch by an appreciative County Ground crowd on Sunday prior to kick-off, before saying his own 'thank you' to the home supporters.
