BLAIR'S DEBUT STRIKE

Posted on: Sat 28 Mar 2009

Blair Sturrock scored on his debut for new club Torquay United on Saturday afternoon.

The Scot, who joined The Gulls on loan until the end of the season on Thursday, struck the equaliser for Torquay as they took a point from a 1-1 draw at Mansfield Town.

Sturrock struck on 64 minutes to draw his side level after Robert Duffy had opened the scoring on 36 minutes.

Former Town midfielder Steve Adams was an unused substitute for the visitors at Field Mill.

Torquay United finished the day third in the Blue Square Premier and are joined by Cambridge United, Histon and Kidderminster Harriers in the Play-Off places.
