STURROCK TO MISS PLAY-OFF FINAL

Posted on: Tue 05 May 2009

Swindon Town striker Blair Sturrock will miss the Blue Square Premier play-off final after an early injury against Histon on Monday.

Sturrock was forced off in the 21st minute with a knee injury at Histon and has returned to The County Ground for treatment.

The front man is out of contract in the summer and will be amongst the players sitting down for talks with Town boss Danny Wilson this week.

The Gulls secured their place at Wembley after a 2-1 aggregate victory over Histon, who of course knocked Swindon out of this season's FA Cup.

Two former Town players also featured for Torquay, with midfielder Wayne Carlisle starting the game and Mustapha Carayol on the bench.
