31 January 2009: In only his second Town game, Greer steers Town to only their second clean sheet of the campaign in at Oldham Athletic's Boundary Park, a notoriously difficult destination for opposition sides.

11 April 2009: Scores his first goal in Town colours in the away League One clash at Brighton & Hove Albion. Greer's 47th minute effort draws Swindon level before going onto a 3-2 win.
12 May 2009: The defender returns to The County Ground to agree terms of a two-year deal before heading off for a well-earned summer break.
Career Profile
Greer started his professional career with Scottish club Clyde where impressive performances caught the eye of Blackburn Rovers, who parted with £250,000 for his services.
His debut for Rovers arrived in September 2001 in a League Cup win over Oldham Athletic, where he lined up alongside the likes of Brad Friedel, Henning Berg and Turkish International Tugay.

After finding first team opportunities hard to come by at Ewood Park, he joined Stockport County on a one-month loan deal in April 2003. He scored on his debut for The Hatters, coming off the bench at Wycombe with twelve minutes remaining and finding the net seven minutes later.
In August 2003 a switch North of the Border followed with a move to Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock. It was a successful spell as he made over 100 league starts during his time at Rugby Park - also receiving International recognition with Scotland B.
He joined Doncaster Rovers in the summer of 2007 on a free transfer and only made six appearances during his first season with the club, before signing for Swindon on loan in January 2009.

After finishing his loan spell with Swindon at Peterborough United on Saturday 3rd May, he came off the bench for Doncaster at Wolves on the final day of the Coca-Cola Championship season seven days later.
Personal
Greer made a big impression during his loan spell with Town and was a popular figure on and off the pitch. The defender made several personal appearances last term and was an excellent ambassador for the club after taking over as Team Captain.
