Swindon Town's players gathered at The County Ground for the first time of the new 2009/10 season on Monday morning.
Manager Danny Wilson was first in, quickly followed by new members of the coaching team Peter Shirtliff (Assistant Manager) and George Wood (Goalkeeping Coach). The coaching team, in addition to Chief Scout Ken Ryder, then went straight into a meeting whilst the squad were underwent fat tests with Club Physiotherapist Dick Mackey.
Summer recruit David Lucas was in to meet his new teammates following his move from Leeds United, and with 230 league appearances to his name he will be eager to make a swift impression in training as he bids to win over the number one shirt.
Gordon Greer returned to familiar surroundings after agreeing a permanent move to Wiltshire after a successful loan spell with The Robins last term. Greer impressed during a 19-game loan stint last term and will surely be among the contenders to take the Town Captaincy this time around.

Also arriving at The County Ground were eight first year scholars with Josh Parsons, James Richards, Tom Ryan, Seb Broomfield, Dan Evans, Jamie Stephens, Abdul Said and Matthew Clark taking their place with the Under 18's set-up. They joined second year scholars Jordan Record, Billy Bodin, Will Evans, Callum Antell, Elliot Knight, Matthew Barnes and Mark Hartmann.
