Town Skipper Gordon Greer offered an honest assessment of what was a torrid afternoon for his side at Gillingham.
The summer signing spoke about the post-match debrief in the dressing room as well as how he hopes to spur a performance in Town's next game, a Carling Cup tie at MK Dons on Tuesday night.
"It's hard to come off the park and reflect on it straight away," said Greer.
"Gillingham got a couple of goals and it then became easier for them to play. We lost a few goals from set-pieces and that's just not acceptable. We will be doing everything we can to put it right.
"We are better than that and it's up to us, as a squad of players, to sort it out," he said.
"It's not a nice feeling for anybody, players or fans, but we have to learn from it and at least it happened in the first rather than the last game of the season. We believed we could come here and get a result.
"Whether you are playing in the Premier League or League One, these results to happened. We got well and truly turned over today and we are looking forward to Tuesday at MK Dons to put it right."
