Town striker Billy Paynter offered his views to the official website after Saturday's home draw with MK Dons.
Paynter scored twice against Paul Ince's side earlier in the week but was unable to find the net on home territory.
The frontman reflected on what was a frustrating afternoon in front of goal, although is looking for Town to step up their game for the visit of Southampton on Tuesday evening.
"It was a difficult game. MK Dons certainly learnt from the other night and but we didn't really too many opportunities. Both sides were pretty solid at the back although I am sure that MK Dons will be the happier of the two sides.
"It will take time but I am sure it will gel. Tope came in on Friday morning and he is still getting used to the lads and how we play, but he looked sharp in training and bright today when he came on."
The striker then looked ahead to Tuesday night's big home clash, with Southampton coming into the game on the back of defeat at Huddersfield Town.
"Southampton is just around the corner and that's a game everyone will be looking forward to.
He added: "I am sure the fans will want to come down and see us put on a good performance and hopefully we can send them home with a win to celebrate."
