Simon Ferry was greeted by a host of familiar faces after completing his switch to The County Ground.
Ferry, 21, won the League and Cup double with Celtic's Under-19 side in 2006 and has a good pedigree. He has won International honours for Scotland at Under-20 level and is highly-rated by the Celtic Park hierarchy.
And the midfielder received a warm welcome when arriving at The County Ground for the first time on Thursday morning, with former teammate Scott Cuthbert amongst the first to greet the midfielder.
"I played with Scott since I was about twelve years old. It was good to get into the Town dressing room this morning and have a chat with him, someone who I know.
"Jonny McGovern was at Celtic when I was really young and I remember him as a good player. I remember Craig Easton playing for Dundee United up in Scotland so there are a few familiar faces around."
Ferry, described as a creative attacking midfielder by Town boss Danny Wilson, is keen to make the most of the pristine playing surface at Swindon.
"The pitch here looks fantastic and the Manager at Celtic told me that Swindon like to get the ball down and play the right way so I jumped at the chance to come down here."

Scott Cuthbert is well-known to new signing Simon Ferry
Ferry is well-placed to give Town fans the inside track on his Celtic colleague Ben Hutchinson, who has also joined The Robins on loan until January.
"Ben is a goalscorer and if he gets a chance he will put it away. He is quick and can get past players, but the biggest thing is he will score goals here."
