Posted on: Sat 29 Aug 2009

Goalscorer Scott Cuthbert was delighted with his first goal in Town colours to help The Robins secure a win against Southend United.

Town extended their unbeaten run with a victory over The Blues with Cuthbert handed a starting berth at centre-back. The defender opened the scoring in front of The Adkins Family Stand and offered his views on the game post-match.

"It was a great three points and we were really pleased to get the win," said the Scot.

"The lads were delighted to get the three points. The celebration wasn't exactly planned but I was really pleased to see it go on - I'm not known for my finishing!

"It was good to get back into the side at Wolves and keep my place for today's game. Hopefully I can stay in the side and get a run of games together now."
