Swindon Town boss Danny Wilson believes the addition of Southend United striker Alex Revell will add 'something different' to the ranks.
Wilson has described his latest addition as 'a real athlete' and expects Revell to make a valuable contribution during his time at The County Ground - which could be extended beyond January 2010.
Speaking after the striker put pen to paper on the deal, Wilson spoke about his latest recruit.
"Alex is a good unit and is very mobile. He played against us on Saturday but didn't score, probably because he was up against some very good defenders," smiled the boss.
"I am delighted to have him with us because he will add strength to the forward line. He is one of a number of players that we had our eye on and as soon as he became available we said yes straight away.
"We feel that Alex is just what we want. He can bring other players into the game and will take a lot of the load away from the other strikers. As soon as we spoke to him he packed his bags and was keen to join us."
The Town Manager is keen to mould a squad with a high work ethic, and the addition of Revell fits perfectly in line with that aim.

"He is different to Billy Paynter in that he will run the channels very well for a big lad and is a decent athlete. He will be a threat in both boxes and his aerial presence could be an asset for us.
"Work-rate is another key factor because if you don't have a work ethic then you've got nothing. We want the players here to have a high work-rate and that has to become second nature. That's what we are trying to achieve here."
