Swindon Town boss Danny Wilson spoke to the media following Tuesday night's call-off at Stockport County.
The Robins had left The County Ground at 12pm on the day and made their way to the North-West, before arriving at the stadium after a pre-match stop-off at around 6pm.
After seeing the state of the pitch, the match referee made the correct decision to call the game off.
"I am not angry, just very frustrated," Wilson commented.
"This decision should have been made this morning. If the Referee had been made aware of the situation this morning then he would have given the same decision that he has just given now.
"The pitch itself is just not playable - you are ankle deep in sand and mud and if any water did come down then it would have just stood on the surface.
"We should not have been able to travel. Whoever has made this decision has got it completely wrong.

"The frustrating thing is that our fans have come up the motorway, families have come up the motorway and the catering operation here at Stockport will have all been prepared. This could all have been avoided and a lot of money saved.
"The ball would have stopped every two seconds and there would have been a chance of injury.
Wilson continued: "How you couldn't have seen this before the night is beyond me. Professional people should have been called in to make the decision.
"The Referee should have been brought in this morning and he could have had a look at it - he should have been made fully aware of what was going on.
"I do feel for the Referee because he had no idea about it until he arrived at the ground on the night.
"You can't expect players to go out and perform on that type of pitch. London Wasps didn't play on it on Friday and if you can't play rugby on it there's not much chance of getting a game of football on it."
