Tranmere Rovers have this morning announced the departure of Manager John Barnes and assistant Jason McAteer.
Rovers are currently third from bottom in League One with just seven points to their name, and were defeated by Bury in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night.
Minutes prior to the Tranmere announcement, League One rivals Wycombe Wanderers also announced the departure of their Manager with Peter Taylor leaving Adams Park.
The Chairboys, who drew 1-1 at The County Ground in September, are second from bottom in League One and have not won since the end of August. Former Town loanee Junior Lewis has also left Wycombe.
Swindon Town travel to Tranmere Rovers on Saturday 31st October.
