Swindon Town FC have confirmed the appeal to overturn the red card received by Jonathan Douglas during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Millwall has failed.

The midfielder was dismissed for a foul on Lions midfielder Nadjim Abdou during the first half, in a game where Millwall's Andy Frampton was also sent off.

The outcome of this afternoon's appeal was unsuccessful, with the midfielder receiving an additional one-game ban following the appeal.

Douglas will miss the League One games against Hartlepool United, Norwich City and Tranmere Rovers as well as the FA Cup First Round clash scheduled for Saturday 7th November.
